At St Ambrose, we intend a curriculum that is a practical, exploratory and child-led approach to music. We have weekly singing lessons in Y1-6 delivered by the Archdiocese of Liverpool Schools Singing Programme.
Additionally, we use the Charanga scheme of work which enables children to understand musical concepts through a repetition-based approach to learning. The scheme supports all the requirements of the national curriculum. In Y5, all pupils receive cornet lessons from Resonate Music Hub.
