Pupil Premium Statement
Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools by the government to address inequalities and enable support to reach the pupils who need it most. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school.
At the beginning of the academic year, the school carefully ring-fences the funding so that it is spent on activities that are most likely to have an impact on improving achievement. The school analyses data to find which pupils are underachieving and specific interventions are put in place to support pupils in core subjects, particularly in English and Mathematics.
